School Shows 2014

We had our first school shows for 2014 yesterday and have already received some lovely feedback from the schools.
Here's some from yesterday's shows.

"A really wonderful show. The whole primary really enjoyed themselves and are buzzing about it."

"That was amazing"

We really enjoy playing for schools however we were a little confused about this sign in the carpark.

The secret life of brass - listen now

Karl Steven explores the secret world of the brass family and talks to some of New Zealand's shiniest brass players - Huw Dann, John Gluyas, and Emma Richards of ACE Brass and the Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra - about their instruments. Delve into the history of trumpets, trombones, horns, and tubas and their kin, explore Tutankhamun's burial chamber, and learn about musical military signals, as well as listening to a truckload of brazen and beautiful brassy music.

School Concerts

We had a great time today playing for New Lynn Primary School. It was a really special performance as a whole group of kids from the school rehearsed and performed with us too.
Sadly it was our last school show for this year, but we're really excited about what we've got planned for our 2014 education shows.

A huge thank you to Leni Sulusi from Strike Percussion for playing drums with us this year for our school shows. Leni will be back for more fun and push ups in 2014 too!
